Puja Khanna Duggal's multidisciplinary practice spans over 25 years, rooted in traditional Indian craft and enriched by contemporary approaches to painting and textile-based art. Working with locally sourced and recycled materials, she explores themes of gender, healing, cultural preservation, sustainability, and personal transformation. Her signature style blends intuitive colour transitions with intricate embroidery and textile layering, where process is valued over finality.
Her work creates immersive visual experiences that bridge memory, nature, and the subconscious through a tactile and conceptual approach.
Puja’s passion for art began in childhood, majoring in Fine Arts during school. She later pursued a BA in English Literature at Jesus and Mary College and a postgraduate degree at the National Institute of Technology.
Before returning to art full-time, she had a successful career in luxury fashion, collaborating with global brands such as Kenzo, Kookai, Kurt Geiger, Next UK, Primadonna, Tata Italia, Cosmoparis, Minnelli, San Marina, and Zara. The pause brought on by the pandemic led her back to painting with deeper intent.
